The Characters

Ursula

Katja Amtoft, alisa Ursula, was also born in Denmark in 1976. She started her circus career as a chef in a little Danish circus, and was then educated as a make-up artist in Kolding, Denmark. After that, she trained for one year in "Die Etage" in Berlin, and then for four years in "Ecole Supérieure des Arts du Cirque" in Bruxelles.Katja has preformed in many festivals in France, Holland ,Germany and Denmark....

Steffen Lundsgaard, alisa Dr. Fetz, was born in Denmark in 1972. Since 1990 he has worked as a professional artist- solo, in circus and with "The Jumpings", with whom he has worked world wide.

Steffen studied circus art in the "Moscow State Circus School", Russia and dance in "Instituto Superior del Arte" in Havana, Cuba.

Kimberly

Karl Stets, alias Kimberly, was born in Denmark in 1974. He became interested in performance in 1992, when he began studying at the "Academy for Untamed Kreativety" in Copenhagen, and continued at the "Moscow State Circus School", Russia.

He has worked with, among others,"Cirkus Cirkor", Sweden and more recently with "False Majeure" Denmark

....and after he had been dreming and practising in front of the mirro for many years, he was ready. He packed his magic stick, his hat and best suit. He grabbed his debile and quirky stepbrother by the hand and his entusiastic cusin by the other, and with the words "Las Vegas, here we come" they left their parents farm, to take over the world.

Three twisted characters, in a show where the juggler plays banjo, the pianist makes flic-flac and the singer makes swinging aerial acrobatics.

In the autumn of 2002 a small grupe of Danish circusartist, atracted by the exotic mediterranien lifestile, emigrated to Barcelona, Spain. After a few months in the sun they where convinced, they where to stay. After setteling 3 bright chaps from the grupe formed the company LICE de LUXE. After an intensive practise, building structure, making props and sawing costumes period, and with god help from friends and the people around the Ateneu Popular de 9 barris, they had the ther primier in the garden of the squat Can Masdeu in March 2003 where they had formed and pratised the show.
Since then things went fast. LICE de LUXE has the past six years,among others, peformed in: Narren, Aahus,DK. Christaina, DK. Malmo Festivalen, SWE. Suburb, Stockholm, SWE. Artisti in Piaza, Pennebilly, IT. In Strada, Chieri, IT. Aurrillaac, FR. Trapezi, Reus, ES. Valladolid, ES. Tarragá, ES..............And many more .
LICEdeLUXE are now going on there the sixth year, with an improved show and the currace to.......!!!!
